We have the Safety First Ready Set Walker. My 6 month old son LOVES it because it gives him some freedom to move about. The sounds and music are familiar songs that I actually know and like. The other day I noticed that it wasn’t playing any of the tunes any more. I looked at it and there was no obvious place to access a battery compartment.

This sent me on a mission to figure out how to fix the sounds.
After some research, I found the user manual (which was useless), a bunch of listings where I could buy it and even went to the safety first website. I finally found my answer in the questions on the Amazon listing… It said the batteries were not replaceable.

That couldn’t be right. It surely has to run on some kind of battery. I wasn’t giving up and have now successfully replaced the batteries!  It was easy-peesy!

Below are the instructions 🙂

REQUIRED:

*I purchased my batteries off eBay. Get a 10 pack. It’s a better buy.

INSTRUCTIONS

The walker has a removable toy  attachment. It comes off so that there can be a snack tray area for your baby. You must first remove that. It takes a little muscle but just work it a little at a time.
After the toy attachment is removed, turn it upside down.

With 2 fingers push in the 4 little clips (2 at a time) to remove the little toy. Work it gently off. (Video below)

Once that is off, turn the toy upside down and you will see 4 screws.  Unscrew all 4 to reveal the 4 button batteries.

Replace the button batteries with the new ones and put it back together.

That’s it! All new again!
